2005 Reunion

The Reunion was held at
The Radisson Resort at the Port,
Cape Canaveral on Oct 1, 2005

The turnout was enthusiastic. We did the Dixie Crossroads, Cape Canaveral Tour as well as the dinner at the Radisson. We had a slide show and SanSal Trivia experience. There were lots of conversations going on all at once, right up to the time we retired. A great time!

No promises, but there are plans for another reunion and a trip to SanSal maybe sometime in the spring. Charlie thinks that we can charter an airplane and make the trip very easy and not too expensive. We’ll wait and see what happens.

When we toured the Museum at the Cape, as we were leaving, I noticed an antenna that looked like a MOD I, series 1 on a trailer, with a trailer next to it. Turns out that this IS one of the ORIGINAL antennas and a trailer from SanSal! Tony Brusca, the Assistant Curator has been out of town for months on a project. When he returns, I will contact him. I hope to set up a display at the museum that tells the story of the RangeRats and how we were an important part of the history of the Atlas/Titan development, and the ongoing manned space programs using those boosters.

Thanks to Leon for his work on setting up the Radisson and the Dixiecrossroads!

Meantime, enjoy the pictures on the pages that you can navigate with the buttons above.
